Mrs. Betty Dolories (McDill) Hollingsworth age 77, a resident of Lake passed away on Monday November 11, 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation was held on Wednesday November 13, 2013 from 5:30 until 9:00 PM and again Thursday November 14, 2013 from 10:00AM until 10:50AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Funeral Services were held on Thursday November 14, 2013 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Wolf Funeral Services. Burial followed in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Lake, MS. Officiating was Rev. Kent Grice, Rev. Kenny Lang, and Rev. John Reid. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Hollingsworth had lived in Lake, MS for most of her life. She was a member of the Goodhope Baptist Church in Lake, MS. and taught school for over 35 years at Ringgold School, Jett School in Vicksburg, MS and Lake Attendence Center , spending most of her years teaching at Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.W. & Mary Alice McDill. She is survived by her husband, James L. Hollingsworth of Lake, MS. Two daughters, Renee’ Burks and husband Charles L. of Slidell, La.; Tina Davis and husband David of Lake, MS.; three sons, Rutz Hollingsworth and wife Carolyn of Lake, MS.; Ron Hollingsworth of Lake, MS.; and Redell Hollingsworth of Lake, MS.; one sister, Elizabeth Harrell and husband Thurman of Lake, MS.; and one brother Jimmy McDill and wife Patsy of Forest, MS.; Four grandchildren, Chelsea Burks, Kaitlyn Burkes, Quinton Davis and wife Lauren, and Jamison Davis, one great-grandchild, Stella Clarke Davis and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Thurman Harrell, Jr., Kyle Wolfe, Keifer Wolfe, Corey Alford, Carey Stroud, Stanley McDill, Brandon Gomillion and Bobby Glen Stroud.
