Henry C Holmes

Mr. Henry C. Holmes, 71, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Merit Health Central in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 10:30 AM until 12:20 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton and will be followed by his funeral service at 12:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will take place at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton, MS at 2:30 PM. Bro. David Bryant and Bro. Billy Ray Parker will officiate. Services are under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.

Mr. Holmes was born in Scott County, MS on March 7, 1950, to Ruby Parker and Julius Hardy Holmes. He was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS. Henry was a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Morton. Mr. Holmes served his county in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Henry was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved spending time with his granddaughter.

Mr. Holmes is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Julius Holmes and his brother, Joseph Holmes. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Holmes; daughter, Tammy Frith (Randall); sister, Carolyn Lum (Randy); brothers, Kenneth Holmes and Carl Holmes (Shirley); grandchildren, Kilee McLaurin and Dylan Rankin as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Pallbearers are John Cook, Steve Hatch, Alan Hatch, Wayne Frazier, Stanley Holmes and Daniel Holmes. Honorary pallbearers are Roger Stokley, Tracey Arinder, Charlie Jones and Larry Meeks.
