Earline Hurtt, 81, a resident of Forest, MS passed away Wednesday, June 05, 2013 at Infinity Hospice in Marion, MS. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Friday, June 07, 2013 from 5:30 until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, June 08, 2013 from 10:00 until 10:45 am. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 08, 2013 in the chapel at 11:00 am with burial following in the Harperville Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Bob Smith and Bro. Jim Savell. Wolf Funeral Services will be in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hurtt had lived in the Pea Ridge Community for the past twenty years, moving from Forest, MS for twenty five years. She was a member of Beech Springs Baptist Church in Union, MS. She loved quilting and spending time outside and with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie and Millie Herrington; brother, Dr. Raymond A. Herrington; sister, Aldia Bufkin.
She is survived by her husband of fifty nine years, Johnnie Hurtt of Forest, MS; daughter, Judy Hurtt of Forest, MS; one son, Dwight Hurtt of Forest, MS; three sisters, Frances Strickland of Union, MS; Pauline Barrett of Forest, MS; Bobbie Herrington of Pearl, MS; one brother, James Herrington of Union, MS; two grandchildren, Christy Westby-Gibson and husband Gerry; Brittany Hurtt; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Clay Harmon, Melvin Wilson, David Hankins, David McLaurin, George Gilmore and J.T. Miles. Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Pettigrew and Billy Alexander.
