Jean Carolyn Craig, born on September 29, 1943, in Forest, Mississippi, entered eternal rest on March 8, 2025, also in her beloved hometown. Jean was a cherished member of the Cash Community, where she not only lived her life but also invested her heart and soul.
Throughout her professional career, Jean made significant contributions as a Supply Chain Associate with Hughes and Raytheon, as well as working with Sunbeam and Garan. Her dedication and expertise in her field were recognized by all who had the pleasure of working alongside her.
Beyond her career, Jean was a vibrant and engaging individual. She had a passion for Square Dancing, an activity that brought joy and community into her life. Annually, she would eagerly participate in the Memphis Quartet Convention, celebrating her love for music and fellowship. Her commitment to her community and her church was unwavering, and she was a proud member of Cash Baptist Church in Lena, Mississippi.
Jean's legacy will live on through her family. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Banks (Daniel) of Forest, Mississippi, her two grandchildren, Joseph Sweeney and Tori Kelly, and her six great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored deeply.
Jean was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Elton and Annie Mae Weaver; her daughter, Melissa Carol Bigby; and her grandson, Mason Cameron Kelly; and her three sisters, Alderine Moore, Paulette Smith and Lou Pace; and her four brothers, L. C, Weaver, Kenneth Weaver, Curtis Weaver, and Jim Weaver. The impact of her love and the memories she created will continue to resonate through her family and friends.
Visitation for Jean Carolyn Craig will be held on March 16, 2025, at Cash Baptist Church, located at 1716 Cash Rd, Lena, MS, beginning at 1:00 PM until the service at 2:00 PM. A funeral service paying tribute to Jean's life will follow at 2:00 PM, concluding at 3:00 PM. All who knew her are invited to join in celebrating her remarkable journey and the indelible mark she left on our lives. Instead of flowers, memorials can be made to the Cash Baptist Cemetery Fund.
