Robert J. Jeanneret
Robert J. Jeanneret, 64, a resident of Morton passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 at his residence. Visitation will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Kansas City, MO on August 31, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and funeral services will be at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Kansas City, KS at 10:00 am with burial following in Floral Hills Cemetery Kansas City, MO. Officiating will be Father Harry Schneider. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS and Floral Hills Funeral Home in Kansas City, MO will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jeanneret had lived in the Forkville Community since 2007 in Scott County, MS moving from Terre Haute, IN and he was of the Catholic faith. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam ERA. He worked for the Kansas City Star, Milwaukee/Soo Line Railroads for 38 years before retiring in 2008.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis A. and Marie M. Jeanneret; his first wife, Constance L. Jeanneret in 1986; sister, Yvonne Jeanneret.
He is survived by his wife, Velda Jeanneret of Morton, MS; Daughters, Tracy Renee Jeanneret of Independence, MO; Michelle Lee Horner of Independence, MO; Carrie Ann Jeanneret of Baltimore, MD; step-son, James Kobe of Independence, MO; step-son, Marty Rooks of Independence, MO; sisters, Rose Marie Wilch of Independence, MO; Louise Lloyd of Lenexa, KS; brothers, Henry “Hank” Jeanneret of Longwood, FL; Loarn Jeanneret of Kansas City, KS; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
