Jerry Tyrone Thomas

Jerry Tyrone Thomas, a beloved figure in his community, was born on June 11, 1961, in Newton, Mississippi. His journey through life came to a peaceful close on March 1, 2025, in Lawrence, Mississippi, where he spent the majority of his days.

Jerry's life was characterized by his deep commitment to his family, faith, and community. A devoted member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Lawrence, he exemplified the spirit of service and fellowship throughout his life. Jerry was also an esteemed member of the Jackson Rotary Club, having served as president, where he was known for his dedication to public service and community engagement.

He leaves behind his three brothers: Ronald Thomas of Lawrence, MS; Randy Thomas (Sherri) of Murfreesboro, TN; and George E. Crawford ( Barbara) of Brandon, MS. In addition, his sister, Fawn Freis (Adam) of Pelham, AL, alongside several nieces and nephews, will cherish his memory and the impact he made on their lives.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Bob Thomas (Eva) and Elizabeth Crawford (George), as well as his brother, Bobby K. Thomas. Their spirits join him now, watching over those who loved him.

A visitation will be held on March 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Wolf Funeral Services - Lake, located at 136 Front Street, Lake, MS 39092. The family invites all who knew and loved Jerry to join them in honoring his memory and celebrating his life.
