Jimmy Lee Hitt

Jimmy Lee Hitt, age 80, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at UMMC in Jackson, MS. His visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 12:30 PM until 1:50 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. His services will take place at 2:00 PM in our Funeral Home Chapel. His burial will follow at Goodhope Baptist Cemetery in Lake, MS. Bro. Steve Robinson and Bro. Harold Laird will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.

Jimmy was born to Johnny Lee Adam Hitt and Ludie Gibbs on August 4, 1943, in Scott County, MS. He was a lifelong resident of Scott County, MS. Jimmy loved his lord and his family, especially his only grandson. 

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Ludie Hitt; his sisters, Sarah Hitt and Ophelia Gibbs; and his brother, William Richard Hitt. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Mary Hitt of Lake, MS; his daughter, Lynn Barrett (Elton) of Philadelphia, MS; his sister, Katie McCann (L.D.) of Newton, MS and his grandson, Joshua Lee Barrett.

Alton Gibbs, Ricky Gibbs, Tim Gibbs, and Ronald Gibbs will be Pallbearers.
