Iva N. Joyner, 91, a resident of Morton, MS passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Rolling Acres Retirement Center, Raleigh, MS. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Thursday, October 17, 2013 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 12:00 until 1:30 pm. Funeral services will be on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Springfield Baptist Church with burial following in the Springfield Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Tommy Tanner and Bro. Scott Mangum. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton will be in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Joyner had lived in Morton, MS since 1981 moving from Wiggins, MS and she was a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Morton, MS. She loved to crochet, garden, spend time with family and go to church when she was able.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.A. Joyner in 1994 and daughter, Linda. She is survived by one son, Kenzy Joyner and wife Flo of Chesapeake, VA; three daughters, Badonna Schwankl of Morton, MS; Virginia Scow of Morton, MS; Juanese Buitrago of Morton, MS; one brother, James A. Bankston and wife Sara of Mendenhall, MS; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Paul Stryker, Dalton Denton, Edward Denton, Kevin Brewer, Clay Denton, and Jimmy Myers. Honorary pallbearer will be Ken Elzy.
