Kathy Bevill

Kathy Susan Bevill, age 69, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at her residence in Raleigh, MS. Her visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 1:15 PM until 1:45 PM all at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Raleigh, MS. Her services will take place at 2:00 PM. Her burial will follow in the family cemetery. Bro. Tim Roberson will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services. 

Kathy was born to John Ruffus Purvis and Mary Nell Abernathy in Hinds County, MS on June 1, 1955. She was a lifelong resident of Raleigh, MS, and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Raleigh, MS. She loved to paint, going to Flea Markets, and fishing. Kathy also loved her cats and dogs, but most of all she loved her family. 

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Purvis, and her two brothers, Danny Purvis and Ed Cumberland. She is survived by her son, Cody Brooks (Christine) of Raleigh, MS; her two sisters, Anita Wilson (Chris) of Raleigh, MS and Clara Cumberland of Morton, MS; her four grandchildren, Caitlin Keith (Kagan) of Raleigh, MS, Chloe Tagert (Koeby) of Polkville, MS, Cayleigh Brooks of Raleigh, MS and Cole Brooks of Raleigh, MS; her two Great-Grandchildren, Mila Keith and Beau Tagert and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Brian May, Martin Smith, Kagan Keith, Koeby Tagert, Chris Wilson and Bobo Bowen. Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Brooks and J.C. May.
