Kisa Denise Barber was born August 10, 1966, in Lauderdale County to the late Mrs. Linda C. McNair and Mr. Levi McNair, Jr. She was called to her heavenly home on Monday, June 17, 2024, in Irving Texas. Her visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Her services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Union Grove M.B. Church in Forest, MS. Her burial will follow at Eastern Cemetery in Forest, MS.
Kisa accepted Christ at an early age at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverand Nelvis Rankin in Forest, MS where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Kisa received her education from Forest High School and Cornerstone Christian School in Atlanta Georgia.
Kisa leaves to cherish her memories: one loving daughter, Dominique Barber of Josephine, Texas; two grand-daughters: Ambreah McNair of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tatyanna McNair of Forest, MS; one grandson: Ja’Siah Barber of Josephine, Texas; one great-grandson: Princeton McNair of Forest, MS; one brother Tomechia McNair (Maliaka) of Sumrall, MS; three sisters: Shelia Robinson of Forest, MS, Kimberly Barber of Jackson, MS, and Amy (Norman) Barber-Thompson of Fort Worth, Texas.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Levi McNair Jr. and Linda C. McNair, and one sister: Anissa “Nikki’ Barber.
She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kisa leaves special memories to be cherished by Melinda Brown, Tammie Macklin, Felicia Mitchell and a very special friend/caregiver Rachel Saffo. All of whom will miss her dearly.
