Dolly Inez Latham

Dolly Inez Evans Latham passed away on August 3, 2021 at the age of 81. She was born in Jackson, MS on August 15, 1939. Dolly’s going home service will be on Friday August 6th at 1:00pm at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Visiting hours are Thursday August 5, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Friday August 6, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 12:50 PM.

Dolly was a Member at New Home Baptist Church. Dolly’s greatest joy in life was her two boys, Raymond and Roger. In addition to them, all her grandchildren were such a joy to her life. Dolly owned and ran the Ludlow Skating Rink and Ludlow Store for years in addition to the Latham Farms with her husband Jimmy. She loved nothing better than a good day of fishing with her family.

Dolly met the love of her life, Jimmy Lynn Latham, 60 years ago during the time she was working at WRBC Radio Station. Together, they raised two boys, Raymond Latham and Roger Latham. She had 6 grandchildren, Brad Latham, Brittney Latham, Emily Latham, Stephen Latham, Courtney Latham and Avery Latham, 3 great grandchildren, Callie Hunter and Braelyn Latham.

Dolly was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmy Lynn Latham and her parents, Joel Evans and Dovie Evans and siblings Butch Evans, Rodney Evans, Clement Evans, and Lola Jean Evans. She is survived by her brother, Prentiss Evans and sisters, Shirley Robertson and Lizzie Mae Neese.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Latham, Jimmy Craig, John Germany, John Waggoner, Ricky Latham, Justin Latham, and David Freeman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brad Latham and Stephen Latham.
