Lee (Don) Donovan McDaniel

Lee Donovan McDaniel was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He left this world suddenly on December 29, 2024, at the age of 56, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. 

He was born to Clyde and Ann McDaniel on December 20, 1968. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Don was a simple man and loved to watch his sports, especially the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Win or lose that was still his favorite team. After completing the IBEW electrical program 30 years ago he achieved great success with Miller Electric as their Electrical Superintendent. 

Those who knew Don will remember him for his infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, and his unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.

Don is survived by his parents Clyde and Ann McDaniel, wife Valerie McDaniel; and his children, Samantha Hall, Courtney Adcox (Colton), and Tabi McDaniel. Forever cherished and remembered by his three grandchildren, Rowdy, Joseph, and Dayton. Two brothers, Jamie McDaniel (Clara) and Greg McDaniel (Debbie). He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Nathalie and William King as well as his paternal grandparents Mamie and Lonnie McDaniel. 

The Celebration of Life service to honor the life of Lee Donovan McDaniel will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton with Brother Jason Tillman officiating. The Burial service will immediately follow at Ephesus Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie McDaniel, Greg McDaniel, Peyton McDaniel, Brent Posey, Keith Ragan, Kenny Bennet and Tommy King. Honorary Pallbearer Bill King. 

We ask that you remember him not for the way his life ended, but for the way it was lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
