Jannis Faye Lewis, age 42 and a resident of Morton, MS., passed away on Saturday November 9, 2013 at Ms. Care Center in Morton. Visitation will be held on Friday November 15, 2013 from 5:30PM until 7:00PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 16, 2013 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Wolf Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Blossom Hill Cemetery in Morton, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Ms. Lewis was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS. She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Morton, MS. Jannis loved to go fishing, playing cards, working puzzles and was a very good cook.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete & Catherine Lewis, two sisters, Mary Toney and Wanda Watson, one brother, Jimmy Lee Lewis, and one daughter, Quantaria Watson. She is survived by two daughters, Demyia Lewis of Morton, MS.; Matara Robles of Morton, MS.; one son, Jaylen Lewis of Morton, MS.; six sisters, Cathy Lewis of Morton, MS.; Betty Jones and husband Willie of Morton, MS.; Claudine Ficklin of Morton, MS.; Yneeda Myers of Morton, MS.; Dorether Lewis of Morton, MS.; and Wendy Cooks of Forest, MS.; four brothers, J.C. Lewis of Morton, MS.; David Lewis of Morton, MS.; Jamie Lewis of Morton, MS.; and Larry Lewis of Morton, MS., a God daughter, Catherine Lewis of Morton, MS.; aunt, Josephine Watson of Forest, MS.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
