Lila H. Lewis, 74, a resident of Pulaski passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at her residence. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 from 5:30 until 8:00 pm and visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 until 9:45 am. Funeral services was Wednesday at 10:00 am in the chapel and there was a graveside service held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Pine Crest Cemetery, Mobile, AL. Officiating was Bro. Paul Smith. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton will be handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Lila had lived in Pulaski, MS since 1990, moving from Jackson, MS and she was of the Baptist faith. She had worked for Dr. Louis Wise for 44 years as his medical assistant, retiring on 4/26/11 and she loved collecting frogs and working outdoors in her flower garden, camping and water skiing.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Jerry J. Lewis, Sr. of Pulaski; three sons, Danny Wright of Brandon; Stacy Wright and wife Beverly of Brandon; Jerry J. Lewis, Jr. and wife Debbie of Mobile, AL; two daughters, Sondra Lewis Lee of Phenix City, AL; Lynn Lewis Castle and husband Tim of Tampa, FL; one sister, Betty Harris of Pearl, MS; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chris Lee, Michael Lee, Stacy Wright, Danny Wright, Kenny Hendrix, Tim Castle, Josh Castle, and David Castle.
