"Sonny" Otis Lee Lloyd

Mr. Otis Lee Lloyd, affectionately known as Sonny, was born March 13, 1942, to the late Willie Lee and Lucile Harcey-Lloyd. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Pleasant Gift MB Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Pleasant Gift MB Cemetery in Morton, MS.
Sonny joined Pleasant Gift M.B. Church at an early age. Sonny loved anything in the outdoors: gardening, hunting, and, his passion, laying bricks. He enjoyed when his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren came to visit.
August 22, 1964, Sonny married Mary Harper. To this union, three children was born: Wyvonne, Deborah, and Otis. On September 1, 2022, Sonny was called home. His parents, daughter, Deborah Gilbert, sister, Ella Mae Shepard, and brother Carl Lee Lloyd preceded him in death.
Sonny leaves to cherish his wife of 58 years, Mary, his daughter, Wyvonne (Richard) Ward, and his son, Otis “June Bug” Lloyd, all of Morton. He also leaves nine siblings: WC (Ida) Lloyd, Dessie (William) Sturkin, and Jerry (Margie) Lloyd, all of Morton; Willie Ray (Pat) Lloyd, Helen Lloyd, Patricia (David) Turner, all of Detroit, Michigan; Claudean Youngerof Lynwood, Ill, Clemmie (Eugene) Gary of Knoxville, TN, and Larry (Tashona) Lloyd of Long Beach, CA. In addition, he leaves two God Daughters whom he loved dearly: Delia Walker and Dessie (Rickie) Lloyd of Morton, eight grandchildren: Anton (Krista) Gammage, Alex (Brikki) Gilbert, Alexia (Marshall) Jones, Otarruis (Nunnie) Lloyd, Oshun Lloyd, Jasmine Gilbert, O’Nijah Lloyd, and O’Kevious Lloyd, and eight great-grandchildren: Parris, Avona, Alyssa, JaNiyah, Tagen, Carson, DJ, Ava, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends.
