Mr. Alan Debwood Lowe, age 72, passed away on Saturday June 18, 2016 in Meridian, MS. Visitation was held on Monday June 20, 2016 from 11:30AM until 1:50PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Funeral Services were held on Monday June 20, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Lake, MS. Burial followed in the Lawrence Cemetery in Lawrence, MS. Officiating was Rev. Ken McLemore and Rev. Brent Parks. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Lowe had lived in Lake, MS since 1989, where he moved from Jackson, MS. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lake, MS. He taught advanced sciences at Wingfield High School in Jackson for twenty years, retiring in 1985. He loved watching all kinds of sports and attending them. Mr. Lowe received Star Teacher recognition several times throughout his career. He loved his family very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Minnie Lowe; and his brother, Robert Lowe. His is survived by his wife, Patricia Lowe of Lake, MS; his sons, Craig Lowe (Pam) of Florence, MS and Glyn Lowe (Gina) of Columbus, MS; six grandchildren, Deidre Whitton, Derek Lowe, Travis Lowe, Zach Lowe, Shelby Lowe, and Conner Lowe; and two great grandchildren, Sadie Whitton and Taylor Whitton.
Pallbearers were Guy Hollingsworth, Gregg Hollingsworth, Granville Freeman, Ben McLemore, Jimmy Hollingsworth, and Ted Hollingsworth. Honorary Pallbearers were the Deacons of First Baptist Church in Lake, MS.
