John D. Macaluso, 66, a resident of Hillsboro, MS passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 5:30 until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon. Graveside services and burial will be on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Hillsboro Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Ted Hawkins. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Macaluso was a native of Chicago, IL and had lived in Hillsboro, MS for the past twelve years and he was a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Chicago, IL. He had worked as a security guard for Safe Security for the past five years.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Macaluso. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Macaluso of Hillsboro, MS; one step-son, James Palmertree and wife Paula of Florence, MS; mother-in-law, Nena Welch of Hillsboro, MS; sisters-in-law, Jo Ponder and husband Bob of Puckett, MS; Rachel Hill and husband James of Homewood, MS; Nena Watkins of Clinton, MS; nieces and nephews, Ryan and Jason Hill, Daniel Summers, Morgan Watkins, Joseph Watkins; step-nieces: Kambeia and Shyanne; step-grandchildren, Lillian Palmertree and Liam Palmertree of Florence, MS, and Brooke Shaw of Forest, MS.
Pallbearers will be James Hill, Daniel Summers, Bob Ponder, Ryan Hill, James Palmertree, and Lawrence Bailey.
