Cybil Mallernee
November 16, 1941 — May 7, 2017
Mrs. Cybil Lewis Mallernee went home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Cybil was born in Morton, MS on November 16, 1941. She was a retired teacher of 44 years.
She also coached, was a cheerleader sponsor and taught drama. She truly had a love for teaching, and her family and friends. After retirement she enjoyed decorating for Mississippi Iron Works.
And most of all, she was a mother of grace, poise and style. She was full of life and energy to the very end even through all the pain,
She is survived by her mother Alice Lewis of Morton, MS, husband Bruce Mallernee of San Antonio TX, daughter Tanya Crawley of Ridgeland, MS,
stepdaughter Jamie Childs of Columbia, South Carolina, stepson Louie Mallernee of Austin TX, sister Imogene Lafhameyer and bother in law
Chuck Lafhameyer of Brandon, MS, nephews Mark and Scott Lafhameyer of Memphis Tn, Niece Nikki McIntyre of Brandon Ms.
Grandchildren Tiffany Haus, Dylan Dobbs, Sydney Crawley, Jacob Crawley, Gustavo Childs, Gabi Childs and Stella Mallernee.
Great grandchildren Kallie Haus and Brady Haus.
She is preceded in death by her father Herbert Lewis, son Tony Dobbs, nephew Tim
Lafhameyer.
Services will be held Saturday May 13, 2017 at Wolf Funeral Services. Visitation is scheduled for 12:00 following with the service at 2:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX.
