Jimmy Lee Maness, 61, a resident of Union, MS passed away Wednesday June 6, 2012 at his residence. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 5:30 until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, June 8, 2012 from 1:30 until service time at 2pm at the church. Funeral services will be Saturday June 9, 2012 at Galilee Baptist Church in Rankin County with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Marcus Burnham will be officiating. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Jimmy had lived the past 6 years in Neshoba County, MS moving from St. Francisville, LA. He was a member of Galilee Baptist Church of White Oak, MS. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and watch NASCAR, attending many races.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Maness of Union, MS; mother, Phenie Maude Maness; one daughter, Michelle Lee and husband Joe, of Walnut Grove, MS; one son, William Scott Maness of Union, MS; two sisters, Becky Martin of Raleigh, MS and Mary Garner of White Oak, MS; two brothers, Bruce Maness and Johnny Maness both of White Oak, MS; three grandchildren, Pennie Lee, Austin Tatum and Gabriel Tatum; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Allen Davidson, Herbie Austin, Robbie Pettigrew, Robert Rester, Wayne Durret, and Scott Davidson. Honorary pallbearers will be Maurice Whitehead, Sidney Austin, and Melvin Partin.
