Garry Lamar Martin

Mr. Garry Lamar Martin, age 58, passed on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at UMMC in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2022 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM and again on Friday October 21, 2022 from 11:00AM until 11:50AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. His Funeral Service will follow at 12:00PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Pine Ridge Baptist Cemetery in Lawrence, MS. Bro. Ken McLemore and Bro. Jess Dilley will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Garry was born in Jackson, MS on January 6, 1964, to John and Earline Martin. He grew up in Pearl, MS and attended Brandon Academy where he played football. Garry was a resident of Lawrence, MS for the past twenty-five years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake. Garry was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and spend time in his garden. He loved all Mississippi State sports and if not watching the Bulldogs play, he could be found watching NASCAR. Garry’s family was his greatest joy. He was most happy at family gatherings telling stories and spending time with his loved ones.
Garry is preceded in death by his parents, John and Earline Martin. He is survived by his daughter, Kaitlin Martin (Trenton Marshall) of Godfrey, IL; sister, Melinda Clanton (Barry) of Lawrence, MS and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Tim Sessums, Tom Sessums, Cody Oswalt, Chad Rinewalt, David Groves, and Freddie Dearman.
