Mary Alice McDaniel

Mary Alice McDaniel, age 98, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at her residence in Magee, MS. Her visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Crossroads Holiness Church in Raliegh, MS. Her service will follow 2:00 PM at Crossroads Holiness Church in Raleigh, MS. Her burial will follow Merchant Cemetery in Raliegh, MS. Bro. Jonathan Barnes and Bro. Dabney Bailey will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services. 

Mary was born to Emmitt Wells and Carnelle Bailey on November 11, 1925, in Zama, MS. She lived in Smith County for most of her life.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Homer McDaniel; her parents, Emmitt and Carnelle Wells, her daughters, Cynthia Renee Lott and Sandra Lynn McDaniel; her grandsons, Kristopher Dillion Martin and Zachery Lott; her granddaughters, Heather Rae McDaniel and Victoria Bowen; her brothers, Edward L. Wells, Roy Wells and James Wells; her sister, Ouida Snooks Blaine and her great-grandson, Jonathan Bryant. She is survived by her four children, Pamela Gale McDaniel, Joyce Annette McDaniel, Rex Allen McDaniel and Dewey Wayne McDaniel and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Drennan, Jarett Starling, Jared Drennan, Mickey Brown, Cody Brown and Isiah Bryant. Honorary pallbearers will be David White, James White, Rusty Blaine, Buster Blaine, Josh Starling, Isaac Bryant, Dexter Bowen, Robert Bray and Jett Starling and her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
