Mr. Lee Clark Mashburn age 84, a resident of Pelahatchie, MS. passed away Monday September 15, 2014 at his home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday September 16, 2014 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. and again on Wednesday September 17, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM at the Pelahatchie Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Pelahatchie Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS. Burial will follow in the Independence Methodist Cemetery in Morton, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Barry Corbett, Rev. Guy Hughes and Rev. Buddy Keyes. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Mashburn was a lifelong resident of Pelahatchie, MS. He was a member of the Pelahatchie Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School and Training Union Teacher. He served in the U.S. Army at the Pentagon for two years in the Chief of Staff’s Office from 1953-1955. He loved to hunt and fish.
Mr. Mashburn is preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Ann Lewis Mashburn, parents, L.H. and Levie Mashburn, one brother, Jack Mashburn. He is survived by one daughter, Shelia Miller and husband Kenny of Pelahatchie, MS.; two sons, Lewis Mashburn and wife Bernardine Mashburn of Magee, MS., Neal Mashburn and wife Scottii of Pelahatchie, MS.; sister-in-law, Rita Mashburn of Pelahatchie, MS., sister-in-law, Rachel Tadlock and husband Leon of Pelahatchie, MS.; brother-in-law, Billy Lewis and wife Betty Jo of Morton, MS.; five grandchildren, Laine Stubbs and husband Eric, Lee Mashburn, Ashley and Bailey Miller and Noah Mashburn; two step grandchildren, Kay Sills and husband Mitch, Mark Miller and wife Kristen; three step great grandchildren, Landon, Mikayla and Walker; a number of nieces and nephews.
