Nebra Dell McCurdy, 81, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
Services are 11 am Monday, June 18, 2012 at New Liberty Baptist Church in Morton with burial
In the church cemetery. Rev. Paul Smith, Rev. Wilbur Walters and Rev. Eddie Shoemaker will
officiate.

Mrs. McCurdy was a lifelong resident of the Forkville and Branch Communities in Scott County.
She was a charter member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Morton, MS. She was an avid gardener
and loved her family.

Nebra Dell was preceded in death by her parents, David and Henrietta Shoemaker, four brothers,
D.S. Shoemaker, Willie Shoemaker, James B. Shoemaker, and Jessie Shoemaker, two sisters,
Annie Mae Banks and Mary Coward, daughter-in-law, Helen McCurdy, and one great grandson,
Kurt McCurdy.

Survivors include her husband Ollie McCurdy of Morton; five sons, Frank McCurdy, Dennis McCurdy
(Dorlene), Wilbur McCurdy (Betty), Willie McCurdy, and Billy McCurdy (Lisa) all of Morton; one sister,
Fannie Maude Shaw of Forest; three brothers, Robert Shoemaker of Hillsboro, Grover Shoemaker
of Decatur, and Caray Shoemaker of Montgomery, AL.; Thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great
grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Pallbearers are Rickey Shoemaker, Bobby Shoemaker, Royce Shaw, Clarence Thames, Johnny
Sumrall and Terry McCurdy.
