Janice Mae McDonald, age 52, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at her residence in Morton, MS. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS and Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 12:00 PM until 12:50 PM at Christian Triumph M. B. Church in Morton, MS. Services will take place at 1:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow a Masonic Cemetery in Morton, MS. Pastor Robinson will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Janice was born on April 11, 1970, in Jackson, MS. She was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS. Janice was known to laugh a lot. She enjoyed talking, dancing, joking and being around family.
Janice was preceded in death by her stepfather, Elijah McDonald; father, Jimmy Lee Chambers; brother, Perry McDonald and a son, Darrell McDonald. She is survived by her mother, Hattie Mae Lloyd McDonald of Morton, MS; two daughters, Jana McDonald Murray of Canton, MS and Tysheia McDonald of Morton, MS; two sisters, Deborah McNair (Derek) of Morton, MS and Henrietta Peterson (Ralph) of Morton, MS; four brothers, Willie McDonald (Catherine) of Morton, MS, Elijah McDonald (Donna Lesa) of Morton, MS, Effa McDonald (Lillie) of Morton, MS; Dolph Earl McDonald of Morton, MS and five half brothers; nine grandchildren, Jayonna McDonald, Darrell McDonald, Darion McDonald, Arionna McDonald, Brayden McDonald, Keirsten McDonald, Dallas Dozier, Lakingston Vivian and Erin Reese.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Scott, Kenneth Scott, Rodney Scott, Tom Champion, Perry Champion and Terrell Barrett. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends.
