Freeman Gerald Mcgee

Gerald McGee, 75, of Lake, MS, born on November 7, 1945, passed away on July 12, 2021, at his residence. Services will be graveside only on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Dennis Cemetery with Bro. Larry Yates officiating under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services. There will be no visitation prior to services.
Gerald was a lifelong resident of Lake, MS. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Sandridge Baptist Church in Lake, MS. He was a 1963 graduate of Lake High School where he excelled in basketball. He loved the farm life and he enjoyed working his mules, riding the Wagon Trains where he was the Wagon Master for many years. He also loved and enjoyed coon hunting and squirrel hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents Freeman and Nina McGee and one brother Lanny McGee. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Brenda Dennis McGee of Lake, MS; 2 sons Russell McGee (Tasha) of Lake, MS and Steven McGee (Karey) of Lake, MS; 1 sister Betty Walden of Boaz, AL; 2 grandsons Drew McGee and Peyton McGee.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Yates, Norman Yates, Mickey McMillan, Lee Culpepper, Lane Havers, Gary Bell, Jackie Culpepper, and Milton Jordan. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Alford and Stephen Myers.
