Winnie Jane Mclemore

Mrs. Winnie Jane McLemore, 101, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Anderson Hospital, Meridian, MS, Visitation for Mrs. Winnie will be Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 11:00 am to 11:50 am, at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS, with the service following at 12:00 noon outside under the portico. Per MSDH guidelines, masks must be worn and please observe social distancing. Chris Floyd, Rev. Harold Floyd, and Rev Milton Koon will officiate. Interment will be at Morton Memorial Gardens with no graveside service.
Winnie was born August 15, 1919 to the late William Jackson and Georgia Myers Jackson. She had lived in Morton MS since 1958 where she moved to from Walnut Grove, MS. Mrs. Winnie was of Baptist faith and was a member at East Morton Baptist Church, Morton, MS. She loved being active in her church, cooking and babysitting children.
In addition to her parents, Winnie is preceded in death by her husband, Leon McLemore, son Gene McLemore. Daughter-in-law, Ruth McLemore; brothers, Homer Jackson, H.G. Jackson, Houston Jackson, and Harvey Jackson; sisters Velma Gomillion and Vena Smith. She is survived by her two daughters, Shirley Floyd (Harold), Laurel, MS and Patricia Rogers (Jimmy), Homewood, MS and one son Jackie McLemore, Morton, MS and 4 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great-Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Great Grandchild along with a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
