Paula Simmons McMillan
Paula Simmons McMillan, 90, a resident of Morton, MS of 63 years, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center in New Orleans, LA.
Paula was born June 14, 1922 in Enon, LA to parents Benjamin Eli and Mae Magee Ellzey.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Ralph Simmons and Albert McMillan; parents, Benjamin Eli and Mae Magee Ellzey.
Paula was an active member of First Baptist Church of Morton, serving as church secretary for 20 plus years. She was the owner of Morton Flower Shop for 25 years before her retirement.
Survivors include her sons, Roddy Simmons (Cindy) of Lubbock, TX; Keith Simmons (Linda) of Kingwood, TX; her daughter, Mae Simmons Niolet (David) of Pass Christian, MS; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her sister, Mary Eva Dearman of Baton Rouge, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 4:30 until 8:30 pm at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church of Morton, with burial in Morton Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Dr. Carl Duck and Bro. Earl Clark.
Pallbearers will be Ben Niolet, Paul Niolet, David Simmons, Roger Simmons, Jonathan Simmons, Christian Simmons.
