Elizabeth Joyce Meeks, 55, a resident of Forest passed away Friday, October 01, 2010, at St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation was Saturday, October 02, 2010 at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and again Sunday from 8:00 am until 1:45 pm with the service in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 pm with burial following in the North Morton Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating was the Rev. T.J. Porter. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Joyce had lived in the Steele Community for the past four years, moving from Morton, MS where she had lived all her life and she was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Meeks in 1996.
She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Meeks, Morton; and Michelle Davis, Forest; two sisters, Sarah Porter, Morton; and Gail Crawford, Forest; two brothers, Richard Herrod, Morton; and William Porter, Pelahatchie; four grandchildren, Jeffery Floyd, Cheyann Floyd, Brandi Griffin, and Mymuree Davis; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Donny Meeks, Larry Meeks, Scott Herrod, Bobby Salers, Aaron Olson, Shannon Herrod and Jerry Bone.
