Lucy Monk

Mrs. Lucy Elaine Monk, age 77, passed away on Monday June 20, 2017 at the St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Friday June 23, 2017 from 4:30PM until 8:00PM and again on Saturday June 24, 2017 from 10:00AM until 1:50PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 24, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS with Bro. John Goodhue and Bro. Robert Gatewood officiating. Burial will follow in the Leaf River Baptist Cemetery in Pineville, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Monk had lived in the Coal Bluff community for the past four years. She was a member of the Morton Church of Jesus Name.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Weavers “Pee Wee” Monk; her son, Don Lee Stewart; her parents, Willie and Mayzelle Monk; and her father, J.C. McClendon. She is survived by her children, Becky Bell (Tony) of Shannon, MS, Renee Bishop (Bobby) of Ludlow, MS, Robin Keel (Robert) of Shannon, MS, Robert Austin Stewart (Penny) of Carthage, MS, and Audie Carr Stewart (Angie) of Forest, MS; one brother, Donald Monk, Sr. of Pearl, MS; forty-five grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be David Cain, Jr., James Bishop, Devin Williams, Gunner Williams, B.J. Bishop, and Dusty Stewart. Honorary Pallbearers will be Venus Neagu, Tina Eakes, Rissy Monk, and La Donna Wright.
