Mr. Thomas Oree Moore, Sr., age 88, passed away on Sunday December 4, 2016 at the Mississippi Care Center in Raleigh, MS. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 6, 2016 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Wednesday December 7, 2016 from 9:00AM until 9:50AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 7, 2016 at 10:00AM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS with Rev. M.L. Wallace officiating. A graveside service will follow at 12:00PM in the Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Moore, a native of Farmhaven, MS, had lived in Ludlow, MS since 1982 after living over thirty years in Jackson, MS. He was a member of the Ludlow Baptist Church in Ludlow, MS where he served as a Deacon and head Deacon for many years. He was a co-founder and treasurer for many years for the Ludlow Volunteer Fire Department. He was also very involved in his community in many ways throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty five years, Virginia Moore; his parents and many of his siblings. He is survived by his children, Judy Moore of Ludlow, MS and Tommy Moore of Brandon, MS; two brothers, Lloyd T. Moore of Petal, MS and Cooper Moore of Memphis, TN; sister, Pat Henry of Madison, MS; three grandchildren, Zachary Ryan Moore, Micah Edward Moore, and Tristan Thomas Moore; one step-granddaughter, Kayla Canterbury; and a host of other relatives and friends.
