Bobby Joe Nipper
Bobby Joe Nipper, 69, a resident of Jackson, MS passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012 at his daughter’s residence in Collins, MS. A visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 1:00 until 2:50 pm and the funeral services will be in the chapel at 3:00 pm with burial following in Pine Ridge Baptist Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Linda T. Berry. Eulogy will be by Cynthia Thurman and Tommy Murphy. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Nipper was a lifelong resident of the Jackson, MS area and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Nipper was a very active member of AA for 26 years and also served in the Prison Ministry and Community Outreach Programs. He had retired as a truck driver with KLLM after many years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert B. and Florence Stringfellow Nipper; infant brother, Eddie Dean Nipper; son, Joey Byrd.
He is survived by daughters, Cynthia Thurman of Collins, MS; Darlene Poore of Seminary, MS; Charlene McMillan of Seminary, MS; Deborah Craven of Seminary, MS; one brother, Larry Nipper of Florence, MS; eight grandchildren, Eli Bishop, Buck Bishop, Brad Chevalier, Taylor Chevalier, Hunter Poore, Isaac Craven, Dana Poore Norris, and Andria McMillan; three great grandchildren; three nephews and one niece.
Pallbearers will be Todd Thurman, Joey Ingram, Brad Chevalier, Taylor Chevalier, Jeremy Nipper, and Justin Nipper.
