James C Perritt

James C. Perritt, 76, passed away on, Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at his residence in Morton, MS. He was born on January 17, 1945, to Paul Nathaniel Perritt and Christine Phillips. Visitation will be on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services, Morton, MS. Services will be on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Wolf Funeral Services Chapel, Morton, MS with Rev. Raymond Aven and Rev. Ben Laird officiating. Burial will be at Sims Cemetery, Morton, MS under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
James was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS. He was Church of God by faith and a member of Morton Church of God. He worked for La-z-Boy for 37 years, retiring in 2007. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was an adult Sunday school teacher for most of his adult life and loved to go to various nursing homes to minister to the elderly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Christine Perritt; son, Shane Perritt; brother, Sam Perritt. He is survived by his wife Glenda Perritt of Morton, MS; one son, Mark Perritt (Lisa) of Meridian, MS; two sisters, Paulette Butler of Morton, MS and Joan Harmon of Morton, MS; two grandchildren Chase and Jared Perritt; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
