Roma Pickett

Mrs. Roma Sue Pickett, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at UMMC in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 8:30 AM until 9:20 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Line Creek Baptist Church in Morton, MS. Officiating will be Bro. Tal Vardaman, Bro. Scott Walters and Bro. Tim Robertson. Burial will follow in the Line Creek Baptist Cemetery in Morton, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Pickett was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS. She was very active in her church, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Pickett in 2014; parents, Raymond and Beatrice Purvis; son, Kenneth Michael Purvis; and her grandson, Don Vanderford. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Vanderford (Donald) of Braxton, MS; and two sons, Kent Pickett (Betty) of Morton, MS and Mitch Pickett of Morton, MS; sister-in-law, Bernice Windham, of Homewood, MS; four grandchildren, Chrissie Ryals (David), R. P. Vanderford (Jordan), Jeremy Vanderford and Jake Pickett (Kayleigh); six great-grandchildren, Emma, Chloe, Jaycee, Carsyn, Mari Latham and Bryson; and a number of other relatives.
Pallbearers will be R. P. Vanderford, Jeremy Vanderford, David Ryals, Jake Pickett, Randy Shoemaker and Bob Gray. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Hartman, Phillip Hartman, Arnold Olander, Mike Purvis and Lanny Purvis.
