Ruby Kate Posey, 79, a resident of Forest passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest, MS. Visitation will be held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Friday, March 08, 2013 from 5:00 until 9:00 pm and on Saturday, March 09, 2013 from 8:00 am until 1:45 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 09, 2013 in the chapel at 2:00 pm with burial following in Eastern Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Kent Grice. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Posey had lived in Forest, MS for the past fifty years and was a member of Magnolia Heights Baptist Church in Forest, MS. She loved crocheting and quilting.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Alvin Baker; her second husband, Howard Thurman Posey; two children, Rose Holmes and Norman Butch Jackson; two grandchildren, John Lloyd McLendon and Alecia Renae Harris; one great-grandson, Jonathan Bradford,
She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Harris and husband Delton of Forest, MS; Nancy Ellis and husband William of Madden, MS; Penny Dobbs and husband Jimmy of Sebastopol, MS; one son, Keith Posey of Forest, MS; nine grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Harris, Jace Harris, Johnny Haralson, Thurman Posey, Johnny Stephens, and Josh Bassett. Honorary pallbearer will be Shawn Dobbs.
