Mrs. Annie Lou Puckett, age 87 a resident of Morton passed away on Friday November 8, 2013 at Ms. Care Center in Morton. Visitation was held on Saturday November 9, 2013 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Sunday November 9, 2013 from 1:00 PM until 1:50 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services were held on November 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Wolf Funeral Services. Burial followed in the New Goodhope Baptist Cemetery in Pulaski, MS. Officiating was Rev. Brian Parkman, Rev. Don Cannon and Rev. Paul Smith. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS., handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Puckett had lived in Morton for the past fifty two years. She was a member of the New Goodhope Baptist Church in Pulaski, MS. She loved sewing, quilting, baking, watching game shows, and spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by Percy Puckett, parents Calor and Alma Johnson and son, Roger Puckett. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Puckett of Morton, MS.; Paula Latham and husband Ricky of Morton, MS.; one son, Joel Puckett and wife Linda of Ludlow, MS.; one brother, Newell Johnson of Pulaski, MS.; one sister, Mary Lee Thornton of Morton, MS.; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Jayden Puckett, Ben Robinson, Christian Byrd, Dirrell Goss, Tim Puckett, Bobby Jenkins, and Sam Hall.
