Mr. Benjamin Jacob “Jake” Puckett age 34, a resident of Morton, MS. passed away on Saturday May 10, 2014 at his residence. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 13, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday May 14, 2014 from 11:00 AM until 1:50 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 14, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Wolf Funeral Services with burial to follow in the New Goodhope Baptist Cemetery in Pulaski, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Parkman, Rev. Paul Smith, Rev. Kenneth Johnson, and Tom Miles will deliver the eulogy. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of arrangements.
Jake was a lifelong resident of Morton, MS. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, write songs, sing and do woodworking. In his younger years he was a member of The Show Stoppers Show Choir and later formed the band Trailer Park Playboys. He loved spending time with his family.
Jake is preceded in death by his father, Rodger O. Puckett, Sr., grandparents, Annie and Percy Puckett, B.Z. Polk. He is survived by his wife, Renee Puckett of Morton, MS.; parents, Wanda and Ellie Ray Stevenson of Morton, MS.; two sons, Benjamin Jaydn Puckett of Morton, MS.; Hendrix Bo Puckett of Morton, MS.; two step-sons, Zachary Ryan Moore of Morton, MS.; Tristan Thomas Moore of Morton, MS.; two sisters, Amber Puckett Wood and husband A.J. of Morton, MS. Kayla Stevenson Mouchett and husband Zane of Starkville,MS.; two step-sisters, Lynn Stevenson Irby and husband Paul of Morton, MS.; Julie Stevenson Mahaffey and husband Mitchell of Morton, MS.; one brother, Rodger O’Neil Puckett, Jr. of Morton, MS.; maternal grandmother, Aldarene Polk of Morton, MS.; special aunt, Diane Puckett of Morton, MS.; numerous aunts,uncles,cousins, other relatives and friends.
