Jesse Lambert Puckett
Jesse Puckett, 92, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017, following an extended illness.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, from 12:00 pm until 1:45 pm. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm, in the chapel. Wolf Funeral Services of Morton, was in charge of the arrangements.
Jesse Puckett was born in Smith county on December 28, 1924.
He was a lifelong resident of Forest, MS and was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
He settled his family in Forest in 1957 and began working in the poultry industry. After many years in sales, he founded his own company, Lambert Industrial Supplies.
Jesse was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Ladner Puckett in 2009, after 62 years of marriage; his parents, Ras Berry Puckett and Vidonia Smith Puckett; Brothers, Robert Luther Puckett, Simon Monroe Puckett, R.B. Puckett Jr., Daniel Webster Puckett, Percy Jewell Puckett, Robert Secil Puckett, Jimmy Troy Puckett; Sisters, Leatha Victoria Arender, Mary Lena Fortner, Lula Bell Hall, Lucy Victoria Puckett, Lillie Bee Arender.
He is survived by Sisters, Laverne Frith, Morton, MS, Lilla Lee Walsh, Johnson City, TN; Sons, Timothy L. Puckett, Forest, MS, Anthony J. Puckett (Beverly), Madison, MS; Daughters, Pam P. Jones, Forest, MS, Daphne P. Wilkerson (Rickey), Forest, MS; 7 Grandchildren, Nicole Puckett, Lance Puckett (Brandy), Richard Wilkerson (Thias), Jason Jones (Emily), Clint Wilkerson (Macy), Erica W. Stone (Matt), Elizabeth P.
