Maxie Purvis

Mr. Maxie L. “Mack” Purvis, age 71, passed away on Friday August 25, 2017 at his home in Forest, MS. Visitation will be held on Sunday August 27, 2017 from 12:30PM until 1:50PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday August 27, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Wolf Funeral Services Chapel in Morton, MS with Bro. Bobby Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Harperville Cemetery in Forest, MS. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Purvis was a lifelong resident of Scott County, MS where he was a member of the Covenant Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Eliza Purvis; his wife, Judy Purvis; and his sister, Winnie Thornton. He is survived by his daughter, Angie Sistrunk Crimm (Gerald) of Forest, MS; his brother, Jerry Purvis (Omega) of Morton, MS; his sister, Dot Sanders (Wayne) of Morton, MS; two grandchildren, Samantha Sistrunk and Mitchell Crimm; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Gerald Crimm, Nick Muirhead, Ethan Rigdon, David Putnam, Ray Crimm, and Ricky Purvis.
