Michael Rakinic

Michael Tracy Rakinic, “Mike," age 58, passed away August 10, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 18, 1958. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Patricia and Darrell Rakinic and sister Terry. Mike is survived by his son Jeremy Rakinic and wife Maddie; his granddaughters Marlee, Macie Jo, and Jurnie; and his fiancé Patricia Hall. Mike was truly a simple man who loved his family. There is no doubt that he is in Heaven right now playing his guitar. Mike’s middle grand daughter said he is already painting our house in Heaven. Another thing he took pride in was his ability to paint. Mike was often deemed “master painter” by many he worked with. One thing he spoke of often was the legacy he would leave; he left a legacy of always treating others with kindness.
Mike was a devoted father and Papaw. He enjoyed spending Sunday afternoons with his grand girls. He never missed a birthday, holiday, school or sporting event. Papaw was always there cheering his girls on. Mike also believed in God and Heaven. There is no doubt in out minds that he is there now with his family and no longer in pain.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on August 11 at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, Ms.
