Eva S. Reeves, 80, a resident of Branch passed away Saturday, April 09, 2011 at her residence. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services on Monday, April 11, 2011 from 5:00 until 9:00 pm and again Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from 8:30 until 9:45 am. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10:00 am in the chapel with burial following in the New Liberty Baptist Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Paul Smith. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Reeves was a native of Branch, MS. She had lived in Robertsdale, AL for the past two years, moving from Branch, MS and she was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Morton, MS. She loved gardening, quilting and flowers.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Reeves, in1989; a son, Michael Reeves in 1986.
She is survived by two daughters, Billie Norwood, Kosciusko; Pennie Sue Russell, Robertsdale, AL; four sons, Danny Ray Reeves, Forkville; Ricky A. Reeves, Lake; Freddy Reeves and Roy Reeves, both of Morton; one sister, Shelby Murphy, Wisconsin; four brothers, J.T. Sanford, Kansas City, KS; Harold Sanford, Tupelo; Joe Allen Sanford, Jackson; Tommy Sanford of Jonesboro, AR; 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Shane Reeves, Charner Benton, Shane Waltman, Danny Reeves, Chance Wilkerson, and Bo Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were Danny Reeves, Jr., and Matthew Wilkerson.
