Charles Reid

Charles V. Reid age 81 a resident of Forest, MS passed away on Wednesday December 3, 2014 at Anderson Hospital in Meridian, MS. Visitation will be held on Friday December 5, 2014 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday December 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Wolf Funeral Services. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Cemetery in Lake, MS. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Duncan. Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Reid lived in the Salem Community since 1960, formerly living Pittsburg, TX. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW Post #4974 in Forest, MS. Mr. Reid was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mr. Reid is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sessions Reid in 1994; ten brothers and three sisters. He is survived by one daughter, Pam Reid of Forest, MS.; one son, Gary Reid of Forest, MS.; daughter-n-law, Kathleen White; three grandchildren, Sandra Phillips, Stacy Tines, Ray Lyn White; a number of great-grandchildren including Trevor, Raegan and Melissa Grace Loper; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Timmy McDill, Joey McDill, Michael Loper, David Putnam, Sammy Burgess, Charles Porter. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Wooten, Darwin Bufkin, Dale Boykin, Destry Hollingsworth, David Ainsworth.
