David Benson "Benny" Reid

David Benson “Benny” Reid, age 60, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022, in Meridian, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, from 10:30 AM until 11:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Services will take place at 12:00 PM in our Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Antioch-Steele Cemetery in Forest, MS. Bro. Kenny James will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Mr. David Benson “Benny” Reid, Benny was born to David Reid and Merdis McWilliams Reid on August 8, 1962, in Forest where he lived all his life. Benny played basketball for the Forest Bearcats when he was in high school and was something he enjoyed throughout his life. Benny is preceded in death by his son, Toby Reid, his father, Thomas David Reid and a brother, James Reid. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Massey Reid of Forest, his Daughter Daphene Reid of Forest and his son Christopher Reid of Brandon. Grandsons Revin Reid of Forest and Joshua Reid of Brandon, granddaughters Tierney Reid, Chloe Reid and Lillianna Reid, all of Forest and Nevaeh Reid of Brandon. Great grandchildren Kingston Reid and London Reid of Forest. His mother, Merdis Sue Mcwilliams of Pearl and his siblings Thomas “Pedo” Reid (Heather) of Forest and his sisters Debbie Cochran (James) of Brandon and Jammie Hamilton (John) of Dixon. His special friend Heather Kilgore as well as an uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews. Pall bearers are Brock Pope, Dewayne Reid, Dillion Westbrook, Zach Reid, Ruben Reid and Cole Reid.
