Johannes Ries, 78, a resident of Jackson, MS passed away Saturday, November 03, 2012 at Mississippi Care Center in Morton, MS. Services will be at a later date. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ries had lived in the Jackson area for the past forty five years and was of the Lutheran Faith. He had retired as a self employed Commercial Artist.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, June M. Ries. He is survived by five children, Sonya Sanders and husband Charlie of Forest, MS; Verena Miller and husband Stephen of Raymond, MS; Charles Ries and wife Rechelle of Pelahatchie, MS; Christopher Ries of Raymond, MS; Thomas Ries and wife Kim of Florence, MS; one sister, Sonti Deysell of South Africa; seven grandchildren and five nephews.
