Evelyn Risher

Evelyn P. Risher, 77, a resident of Morton passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS on Friday December 23, 2011 from 5:30 until 8:00 pm and on Saturday December 24, 2011 from 8:30 until 9:45 am. Funeral Services were Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 10:00 am in the chapel with burial following in the Faulkner Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Joe Crane. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Evelyn had lived in the Scott County area since 1949 and was a member of New Zion Baptist Church in Morton, MS.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen A. Risher; her second husband, L.C. Ivy; her parents, James Blueford and Minnie Parker; one brother, James H. Parker.
She is survived by two sons, Glen A. Risher of Harperville, MS; John P. Risher of Florence, MS; one daughter, Rebecca Kerrigan of Brandon, MS; one adopted daughter, Elizabeth Gordon of Morton, MS; three brothers, Floyd Parker, Percy Parker, and Jessie Ray Parker all of Morton, MS; two sisters, Barbara Carpenter of Morton, MS; Agnes McKinley of Laurel, MS; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Chris Risher, Brian Risher, Wayne Risher, Rickey Parker, Michael Parker and Tony Parker. Honorary pallbearer was Fred Sullivan
