Robert Lewis Crosby

Robert Lewis Crosby, age 91, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023, at Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, MS.  His visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 1:50 PM at Hazel Baptist church in Lake, MS.  His services will take place at 2:00 PM.  Burial will follow at Hazel Baptist Cemetery in Lake, MS.  Bro. Randall Creel and Bro. William Savell will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services. 

Robert was born on September 11, 1932 in Newton County, Mississippi to Eugene Amos Crosby and Minnie Phillips.  He was a lifelong resident of Newton County, MS.  He taught Sunday school for many years and he loved farming and talking to people.

Robert is preceded in death by both parents, Eugene and Minnie Crosby, and his two brothers, Dillard and Harmon Crosby.  He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Margie Faye Crosby of Lake, MS; his daughter Tanya Phillips (Harlan) of Lake, MS; his son Terry Crosby (Stacy) of Lake, MS; his two sisters, Thelma Jean Leach of Lake, MS; Patsy McDonald of Carthage, MS; three grandchildren, one great grandchild, and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Crosby, Bryant Crosby, Bo Blissett, Keith Gibbs, Robert Savell, and Jim Savell.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Savell, Marion Felton and Wayne Sanderford.
