Robert Lamar McDonald, age 86, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, at his residence in Conehatta, Mississippi. Born on October 17, 1938, in Leake County, Mississippi, Robert dedicated much of his life to the community he cherished for over forty years.
A devoted family man, Robert is survived by his son, Scott McDonald of Conehatta, Mississippi; his grandchild, Logan McDonald (Brittany); and two great-grandchildren, Robert Easland McDonald and Hayes Michael McDonald. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Daisy Lee McDonald; his son, Brad McDonald; and his parents, Robert and Evelyn McDonald.
Robert was an individual who embraced the beauty of nature, finding joy in hunting and fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman and a proud member of the Big Lake Hunting Club, where he shared many fond memories with fellow nature enthusiasts. His love for community activities extended to his involvement with the Dixie National Booster Club and annual visits to the Neshoba County Fair, where he found joy in betting on horse racing.
A man of deep faith, Robert was a Baptist by belief, which shaped his values and interactions with those around him. His warm spirit and zest for life will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.
Visitation will be held on February 10, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, both at Wolf Funeral Services in Lake, MS. Bro. Tim Lott will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Robert Lamar McDonald leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and a profound appreciation for the outdoors that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
