Mrs. Addie Mae Russell age 94, passed away on Thursday November 12, 2020 at her residence in Jackson, MS. A visitation will be held on Friday November 20, 2020 from 10:00AM until 5:00PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. A visitation will be held on Saturday November 21, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 11:00AM at Lovelady Cemetery. Graveside Services will be held at Lovelady Cemetery in Forest, MS at 11:00AM on Saturday November 21, 2020. Reverend Shirley Wilder, Reverend Billy Henry and Reverend Oliver Hodge will officiate.
Mrs. Russell was a lifelong resident of Forest, MS. She was Methodist by faith and a member of Pleasant Green Baptist Church and Lynch Chapel United Methodist Church. She was an Eastern Star and a member of the United Methodist Women and a Sunday School Teacher at Lynch Chapel UMC.
She is preceded in death by her two sons, Lanzy and Randy Russell and her husband, Rev. Eugene Russell, Sr.
She is survived by seven children; Sherrie Spivey (Bobby) of Forest, MS, Bonnie Hodge (Melvin) of Jackson, MS, Bettye Russell of Jackson, MS, Linda Boyd of Raymond, MS, Addie Russell of Flint, MI, Patricia Moore (Gene) of Houston, TX, Eugene Russell, Jr. of Forest, MS; one sister, Eloise White (Charlie) of Forest, MS, sister in law, Aretha Gray of Forest, MS; two grandchildren that she and her late husband raised as their own children, Leslie Miner and Roberto Russell; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
