RyQuerious Donnell Steele, affectionately known as Rye, was born on March 9, 2003, to the late Robert Donnell Steele and Cicely Nakia Wright Myles.
Rye was a 2022 graduate of Leake County High School where he was a member of the football and baseball teams. He loved riding horses, being surrounded by family, and playing with his nieces and nephews.
RyQuerious departed this life on January 2, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Donnell Steele; his brother Elijah Isaiah Steele; his maternal grandmother, Teresa Wright; his maternal great grandparents, Ruth Ann and Walter Wright; his paternal grandparents, Manuel and Fannie Mae Steele; and his aunt Lisa A. Steele.
Rye leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Cicely Wright-Myles, and special father, Eugene Myles; his sister, Kadejah (Jonathan) Thigpen; his brothers Jamaruious Moore and Tydrick Jackson; his nephew, Jonathan ‘Jay’ Thigpen, Jr.; his nieces, Ava and Bella Thigpen; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Public visitation for RyQuerious will take place on Friday, January 10, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS.
The Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Mt. Carmel M.B. Church in Morton, MS.
