E. B. Sessums, 85, a resident of Harperville passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at Hospice Advantage, in Madden, MS. Visitation was held at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm and on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 11:00 am until 1:45 pm at the funeral home. Funeral services were on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 in the chapel at 2:00 pm with burial following in the Harperville Cemetery. Officiating was Rev. Bobby Warren and Rev. Paul Smith. Wolf Funeral Services in Morton was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sessums had lived in Harperville all of his life and was a Baptist by faith. He had served in the U.S. Army in WW II and the Korean Conflict. He loved to garden, fish and trap.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Dale Sessums; one son, Stevie Sessums; one daughter, Sharon Risher; his parents, Will and Daisy Sessums.
He is survived by one daughter, Kim Benton of Harperville; one son, Randy Sessums of Homewood; one sister, Jane Dennis of Harperville; five grandchildren, Chris Risher, Brian Risher, Steven Benton, Shawnna Benton, and Jacob Sessums; five great-grandchildren, Evan Risher, Mason Risher, Garrett Risher, Lauren Risher, and Levi Benton; one niece and one nephew.
Pallbearers were Chris Risher, Brian Risher, Steven Benton, Gary Pettigrew, Devon Weems, Audie Stewart, and Johnny Pettigrew. Honorary pallbearers were The Patriot Guard Riders, and Jacob Sessums.
