Janette Alene Risher Sessums

Janette Alene Sessums, age 55, passed away on September 1, 2022 at Christiana Care Wilmington Hospital in Wilmington, DE. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Monday, September 12, 2022, from 9:00 AM until 9:50 AM at Wolf Funeral Services in Morton, MS. Services will take place at 10:00 AM in our Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Faulkner Cemetery in Morton, MS. Pastor Tim Lott will officiate under the direction of Wolf Funeral Services.
Janette was born to James Pete Risher and Shirley Mae Hodges Risher on December 23, 1966 in Joliet, IL. Janette lived in Forest, MS most of her life. She moved to Maryland where she has lived for the past ten years.
Janette was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Shirley Risher; brother, Jodie Risher. She is survived by her faithful companion, Francis Forton of Maryland; two daughters, Megan Grant and Katelyn Grant both of Forest, MS; three sisters, Adelle Bailey of Meridian, MS, Carolyn Thompson of Maryland and Missy Griswell of Missouri; five brothers, Ronnie Risher of Burns, MS, John Anthony of Alabama, Rob Hodges of Alabama, James Lynn Risher of Homewood, MS and David Hodges of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Tyra Fountain, Eathen May, Jaylyn Grant, Kylee Boykin and Kaysen Boykin and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Logan Mapp, Logan Parisi, Jonathan May, Eathen May, Ryan Butler and Chris James.
